Bnai Sephardim was founded in 1970 inside a bank in North Miami Beach. After merging with another Sephardic congregation in North Miami the synogogue moved to a larger facility inside a fire station. After moving back to North Miami Beach the synagogue purchased 2 1/2 acres of land in Hollywood Florida and moved into a house located on the property. This home is currently used for many prayers services and activities for the community. In 1997 the synogogue began construction on a new sanctuary in Hollywood inaugerated May 16, 1999.
Since then Bnai Sephardim has become a dynamic congregation with over 250 families with membership and we celebrate the High Holidays with over 700 families. We have an active sisterhood which plans social and educational activities throughout the year as well as youth activities, lectures, and single events.
Our membership includes persons from Spain, Africa, Middle East, Balkins, Central and South America.
We invite you to become an active part of our community....
